Prepping your floor before applying the coating is the most crucial step to achieve lasting, quality results. Most of the big-box retailer kits will provide an acid etch solution which can get your floor fairly clean, but they don’t begin to address the sealant your concrete floor likely has and are simply not aggressive enough for the coating to permanently stick.
